The 23-year-old student is said to have felt ill earlier this week before leaving the villa ahead of Tuesday night's show, during which Islander Alex George revealed to his devastated co-stars that his pal had departed the show for good.A source told The Sun Online: 'Duty of care is the most important consideration on shows like this and as soon as he felt unwell, ITV would have had a discussion with him about leaving.'The decision they took would have been taken between all parties with Niall's health being the only consideration.' MailOnline has contacted representatives for Love Island for further comment. On Tuesday night's episode, Alex revealed that Niall had quit the show for 'personal reasons', but since leaving the programme the construction worker is yet to update fans on his situation via social media.Alex told the Islanders: 'For personal reasons unfortunately he can't continue or come back to the villa.I'm obviously sad that Niall's left the Villa. We got on really, really well.'He's such a great guy.And I look forward to catching up with him and having some fun with him outside.' Georgia Steel, who was coupled up with Niall, was sad to hear he had left the show, leaving her single. She said: 'Obviously, I was coupled up with him so obviously I came closer to him than most people in here but it wasn't just that.He was actually my friend, my buddy.' Niall's departure came just one episode after he went on a date with 'Love Island' newcomer Megan Barton Hanson on Monday night's show, which Georgia was left 'fuming' about. She said: 'I'm fuming.Actually fuming. No one takes my man away, no.I've never had competition before and I don't like it.' Niall initially coupled up with Kendall Rae-Knight on the first day in the villa but moved on to Georgia after Adam Collard stole Kendall from him.Love Island viewers were been left wondering what the real reason for his sudden departure could be following the underwhelming way his show co-stars reacted to news of him leaving for 'personal reasons'.A major clue appears to have gone largely unnoticed in the midst of Rosie's explosive showdown with love rat Adam Collard, during which she made a cryptic reference to Niall 'lying' to the group. The Welsh solicitor was heard telling Adam: 'Do you want to tell me something that maybe you should've had the balls to tell me before?' 'You say about Niall not being honest the other night, but you literally did what he did.and didn't have the balls to tell me before that you were going to do it.' Very few fans picked up on the blink-and-you'll-miss-it comment, which came after Niall barely had any airtime in the previous episode. One tweeted: 'Did anyone else notice Rosie reference Niall’s dishonesty in her confrontation with Adam, I reckon he’s broke the rules in some way and that’s why it’s so hush hush #LoveIsland'.A second viewer questioned: 'Rosie said to Adam "you had a go at Niall for lying the other night and you've done exactly what he did", what did Nia
