Man Utd news: Bale decision, Mourinho’s Woodward demand, £53m bid made, shock exit
Ramsey demand Jose Mourinho is demanding executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to sign Aaron Ramsey. Ramsey is out of contract in the summer at Arsenal and having failed to agree a new deal with the Gunners, he looks set to leave. The Welshman wants improved terms on his £110,000-a-week wages but Arsenal are refusing to put him on a similar pay structure to Mesut Ozil. And Mourinho is working to convince Woodward to offer him the wages he wants in a bid to prise him away from the Emirates.Valencia exit Antonio Valencia is close to leaving the club for nothing because of a clause in his contract. The Sun claim the veteran defender can sign a pre-contract agreement elsewhere in March with his current deal expiring in the summer. United do have the option to extend his nine-year stay by another 12 months but need to activate it by March 1 or the right-back could negotiate with a new team. Valencia is thought to be attracting interest from German and Turkish teams.Bale decision Gareth Bale is set to resist all attempts from Real Madrid to force him into a summer move to Manchester United. Real are reported to be losing patience with the Wales superstar and are prepared to let him leave the club at the end of the season. Zinedine Zidane wanted to sell Bale last summer but was overruled by president Florentino Perez. Perez’s decision led to Zidane leaving the Bernabeu in the summer. But there appears to be little chance of Bale following him anytime soon, despite being on United’s wanted list for the last three years. The Sunday Express understands that Bale is happy living in the Spanish capital and has no plans to return to the Premier League anytime soon. The news will also be a disappointment to Chelsea and Tottenham who are also keeping tabs on developments and could have rivalled United.£53m offer made Manchester United have submitted a €60 million (£53m) bid to sign Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, according to Italian publication La Nazione. Jose Mourinho remains keen on signing a centre-back having seen his attempts to land Toby Alderweireld and Harry Maguire fall on deaf ears in the summer. The Portuguese boss was in attendance for Serbia’s win over Montenegro on Thursday evening and upon returning to Manchester he reportedly got in touch with United’s board to declare his interest. The report claims United have now acted on Mourinho’s request and submitted an offer to Fiorentina ahead of the January transfer window. The Red Devils have also been in contact with the 21-year-old’s agent, who has indicated he would be willing to move to Old Trafford. However, the Serie A club are said to have rejected United’s offer as they are keen to keep hold of him until the summer.
