Raheem Sterling penalty: Footage PROVES Man City star tripped HIMSELF up against Shakhtar
After David Silva fired the hosts in front in the opening 15 minutes, Pep Guardiola’s side continued to push for a second goal of the evening.

And a great chance fell to Raheem Sterling.

The England international picked up the ball deep in Shakhtar’s half and set off at blistering speed into the box.

However, the foward the tripped himself up by accidentally kicking the turf before he could get his shot away just outside the six-yard box.
Staggeringly, referee Viktor Kassai awarded a penalty thinking Shakhtar defender Mykola Matvyenko had clipped Sterling.

Despite Shakhtar’s protests, the referee stood by his decision and Gabriel Jesus stepped up to bury the spot-kick.
