Fellaini struggled to keep up with his young counterpart in midfield after being introduced by Jose Mourinho in the second half. And shock pictures prove he successfully hauled Guendouzi back in an unorthodox manner as the Arsenal ace ran forward. Fellaini can be seen grasping for Guendouzi's hair as he attempts to prevent his opponent from progressing further. And as he grabs onto the Frenchman's curly locks, the 19-year-old goes tumbling down on the Old Trafford pitch. Fellaini was pulled up for the incident by match referee Andre Marriner, but escaped a booking. Fellaini's unusual coming together with Guendouzi was not the only talking point of an entertaining showdown. Arsenal took the lead in the first half when David de Gea failed to deal with Shkodran Mustafi's header. And Manchester United players' protests could do nothing to sway Marriner after Ander Herrera was rightly adjuged to have cleared the ball after it had crossed the line. United's equaliser was contentious too, with Anthony Martial slamming the ball home from close range after Herrera's pull-back. Herrera looked to have been offside when Marcos Rojo had initially fired in a free-kick but the officials missed it. Jesse Lingard ended up securing a point for United but only after a freak goal had restored Arsenal's lead. Marcos Rojo came steaming in as Alexandre Lacazette beared down on goal and the ball rolled past a stranded De Gea who had already committed. United stay eighth in the Premier League following the draw with Arsenal, eight points adrift of the top four. The Gunners, meanwhile, are three places better off and just behind Chelsea on goal difference. Next up for United and Fellaini is Saturday's showdown with Claudio Ranieri's Fulham. Arsenal, meanwhile, welcome Huddersfield to the Emirates on the back of a 20-match unbeaten run. Arsenal manager Unai Emery said after the game: "I think we controlled the game, the second half better than the first. We could have won this match in certain moments, but they equalised very quickly after both our goals. "We need to improve defensively, but we need to have balance and not lose our attacking chances. "We perhaps lost a bit of control there but we created lots of chances after 2-2 and I am very proud of our performance. We wanted to win but we can feel this point is good. "Sead Kolasinac came off with his head down but I said to him he had a very good match in attack and you have to be positive and learn from this match."
