As much as we love Halloween and as much as critics were wrong about it back in 1978, we understand why its wooden acting and simple script weren't lauded by the Academy. However, it's hard to deny the film's score is anything but genius. Carpenter composed the simple ditty in a matter of days, and the music has been copied in thrillers ever since. It's now one of the most iconic pieces of music in movie history.
