Author Information

I enjoy working with HTML, XHTML, CSS and designers as a web developer. At home I enjoy listening to music, playing music, reading and food.

Zempt

Hi again. So I’m trying out another one. This time it’s “Zempt 0.3”:http://zempt.com/download/ and if it works you will see this post. What’s the difference to Ecto? Well this one is free which is a big difference to some of you and fits better with the general policy of The Bomb Site software recommendations. Odd little things that you can do with both applications include choosing the text editor ie Textile, choosing open or closed comments, choosing both your section and primary category. You can publish or save to draft and you can edit existing posts and add a secondary category if need be. They both have the facility to add Listening to into your post if you have the appropriate plug-in for WinAmp, Media Player or iTunes and to send pings and Trackbacks. One thing I should add is that Zempt is designed for MT. This works fine in TXP as the 2 files you need to add use the MT API. Whether it would work for WP is something else. If someone tries it let me know the results. So now to see if this one works.

Update

Well it works and Joni says she’s been using Zempt with WP for ages.

Zempt works find and dandy in WP. I use it all the time! I love the “Listening to…” feature, but lately I’ve been listening to music on the home stereo rather than the computer.

But it works just great for me; I’ve been using it pretty much since I started using WordPress.
