XHTML

I’m now going through The Bomb Site page by page to try and get it ALL to validate to XHTML 1.0 Transitional. Wish me luck. I’ve managed 2 pages so far. It looks like 2 or 3 weeks hard slog.

Well the problem is, and I've discussed this at length over "at the 404", when you click on the XHTML link at the bottom it brings up a page saying that your page validates but it hasn't actually checked it. When you do a proper check you find there are a load of errors. :-( The menu is the worst bit. Thankfully I only use part of it on my other pages so I'm getting them to validate. :-)

i guess i'll wander over to his site to read the discussion...but mine has said it didn't validate at some point

If you click on the XHTML button at the bottom of your menu then click on the Extended Interface button on the new page. Put the full URL for your page in the box and click the validate button. If you want to see the referer working properly go to my home page and click the XHTML button there. When you get to W3C you'll see my page address on the page. If you don't believe it (??) you can scroll up the page and click the re-validate button. My page address will already be in the box. 8-) So far I've done 4 pages in 2 days. :-(

Well we admire your perserverance to validate your site. Presumably the only issues which can now arise are in the posts/comments. I can't tell you what a buzz I get seeing people say "atthe404" like it was already a kind of place to hang out! Stuart what category do you want to be in? You can be in cool WP blogs or The Brits on my menu?! ;)

It's a kind of play on words. "the Brits" is the name of an award ceremony like the Oscars. We are of course very cool anyway.The latest news: Eric Meyer has just visited my blog. Fortunately he did not critique my css. Wow. ;)
