Unhealthy Mobiles?

We are now being advised in the U.K. not to give mobile phones (cells) to children under 8 years of age. One manufacturer who was developing a special emergency phone for youngsters has pulled it already. It seems that younger, under-developed skulls won’t protect against the radiation given off. What radiation? This argument surfaced a couple of years back and we were told that there was minimal radiation and no potential health problems! Does this mean that we have been lied to yet again? No matter. We should be used to it by now. We get lied to every day by so-called responsible people/bodies. One more lie shouldn’t hurt.

It does occur to me though that all those idiots who still insist on driving around with their mobiles glued to their ears despite the fact that it’s illegal might be damaging their health. Great news. Hopefully they’ll all die quicker! I just hope they don’t die at the wheel as they are likely to kill someone else. Mind you, there is a good chance that they will kill someone anyway but we all know that our mobiles are far more important than the life of any human being don’t we?.

I have one but I rarely take it out with me except when I’m baby-sitting. I’d be embarrassed if the damn thing went off in the middle of a shop or something and anyway, I want to concentrate on what I’m doing (including driving) not rabbit to someone. If they want to talk why don’t they just wait till I get home so I can sit down? I haven’t “topped up” for months and I’ve been expecting it to get switched off but no joy so far, probably because people still call or send messages. Maybe I should just switch it off myself.

I think the danger with mobiles does not rest on the radiation issue. From what I can see they are so bloody dangerous because of how people use them. It’s a jungle out there driving around next to all these one-armed drivers – the other one is stuck permanently against their ear.

And pedestrians with mobiles are no safer. They just walk around oblivious to everything else around them.

Radiation – bah humbug!

It’s the users that are the danger 95% of thetime.
