The Ultimate Dropdown Menu

I’ve just spent all weekend revamping the site. The main change is the navbar. I’ve been trying out “The Ultimate Dropdown Menu System” from Brothercake on my PC for sometime now. I first used it on the site as a way of getting at the navigation through a single button which was placed at strategic points on the longer pages – saved having to keep going to the top or bottom of the pages to get to the navbar. I’ve now shortened these long pages by splitting them up and creating extras. This has taken a while ‘cuz of having to go through the whole site checking all the links and changing them where necessary. I’ve completely replaced the old navbar with an object-linked, virtually aligned Brothercake menu. Whilst they look simple enough it took ages to produce all the little text graphics as there has to be a green version and a yellow version of each. If you haven’t worked it out yet the yellow ones are links in themselves (with or without a sub-menu) whilst the green ones are just graphics and don’t link anywhere. Also if you click on a yellow one to go to a page it will change to green because if you are already on the page it links to there’s no point having the link. I hope I explained that properly!! I also found this weekend that the “MailWasher” web site had undergone some changes and it appears that the free version of the software has had limitations put on it. I’ve sent them an email to find out what they think they’re doing!!
