@Lily - :notworthy: back to ya.
@Thomasso - Yes hurry up and get better. I'll try and find out where my mate used to live.
@Root - actually Root this is 1.2 and it isn't that buggy it's just that they've moved to plugins rather than hacks and everyone is finding them a bit "new" but if I get stuck I ask Maxt or Alex or Beel. I've been on it a couple of weeks now. I did a post about it when I was changing over. That web site is nice isn't it?

Thanks. I am on the beta already so no rush for me. Thanks for the kind words. Its pimped up now. Do you do php? I have the mother of all hacks in my mind. Very powerful effect but minimum coding needed. Could we work together?

Sorry Root. PHP is new for me so I'm on a steep learning curve cuz apart from the Blog I also have the forum which is PHP as well. I do have a second Blog up and running though so if you want to do some testing I can load things up and see how it runs.
If you get stuck with anything get in touch with one of those I mentioned above or you could post to the WP beta discussion or plugin forum. Everyone seems keen to help. I even managed to "fix" one of Alex's plugins not too long ago.

You guys seem to know alot about hacks? I'm wondering, how do you add more smilies to the current ones in the hack on Word-Press? Is it just as simple as uploading the new .jpg and their names to the hack?
Some of the new smilies you have are great: better than what came with the hack I got! Oh, and I noticed that this time I see in your comments area, you have no smilies at the top....did you take them out?

@Thomasso - I've just upgraded to 1.2 Mingus and you've probably posted whilst I've been putting all my tags back in. You should see them again now. Anyway putting the extra smilies in isn't just a simple upload but it's not difficult either. First you need to upload your new smilies to the "/wp-images/smilies/" directory. I then spotted that all the current smilies' names started with "icon_" so I renamed my new ones to follow this convention. I don't actually know if that's necessary but I did it anyway. Now you need the software to pick up the new smilies. Depending on whether you use hacks or plugins you need to look at the "wp-config-extras.php" file or the "/wp-includes/vars.php" file. If you are using WP 1.2 you won't have the "wp-config-extras.php" file. If you scroll down you should find the list of existing smilies. Just add your new ones to the list following exactly the same format. They should now all appear wherever you've included them. You may want to split them into lines as I've done which you do in your CSS for your blog page and the "/wp-admin/wp-admin.css" for your posts screen using the "#wp_grins {width: ??%;}" id tag in both. Let me know if you want to know where to get some or you have any problems.
