Site Down

thebombsite.com may be inaccessible for up to 20 minutes between 23:00 and 03:00 PDT because of a restructuring process that my host is performing. No need to be alarmed.

No!! It’s a good host. They’ve told me in advance which most don’t and you’ve got other things to think about. Anyway it’s PDT. You should be in bed. For me it’s brunch-time tomorrow.

With my luck, that was the only time I logged on and tried to see what was on the Bombsite… he ha ha ha. The looks good. I like the “Welcome back—user-” that is very cool.

I think it’s an on-going thing Tom. The warning notice is still up there. Haven’t asked them what they are doing. I know they did the email facility last month without affecting me at all. Maybe they are moving to Apache2 or PHP5 or something. I’ll have to email them and find out. I did spot it was a bit slow about 3 hours ago but still connected OK.

Have you seen TXP Manji and TXP Rin yet?

They had mine down a few days ago, but that was them changing to new hardware. I know they upgraded my MySQL database, becuase it has new features on my Admin page.

I’m thinking about switching servers though? I’m starting to see a lot of new servers giving way more bandwidth and HD space then these guys I have now: for the same price? But then again, I hardly use any bandwidth and I haven’t used 10MB of space yet…. Maybe I should start putting home movies on my site or something? That will kill my bandwidth useage and bring it way up!

Well the size of my site Tom and I’m still only using about 30MBs which leaves about 770MBs spare and I’m only up to 6% of my bandwidth with roughly 400 to 500 unique visits per day. That’s anything from 1000 to 1500 hits. And a lot of them are downloading from my layout collection. You should have a quick look at my host. There’s a link at the bottom of my Links list.
