It's Pink

Yes I know. It’s pink. But it is 3-column and it uses background gifs for the menus. And I’m not sending IE users elsewhere. It’s fine in FireFox, Opera and IE6. I’m waiting for someone to check it in IE5.5 and if that’s OK I’m happy.

So is it Faux Columns? Well not really. Not a negative margin in site. Does it follow Trident or Vesuvius? No I’m afraid it doesn’t. It’s actually so simple I didn’t believe it when it worked. Still don’t. I’m waiting for the flack. Anyway I’m Christmas crackered so I’m going to bed. If no problems turn up in the meantime I shall have to write this up tomorrow as it is particularly suitable for my fellow TXP users.

That’s what colour it looks to me, and I really like the whole thing !

The Bomb Site goes Watermelon? Yes I like that description. Didn’t think of it like that but I see what you mean. I like watermelons as well. To eat that is. Thanks.

It’s not really pink….I’d say it’s sort of a salmon colour…I hate fish….

Water melon I do like, but I don’t think that quite describes the colour.

You know.. with a small amount of the right shade of green, it would look even more watermelon-like, and would be easily changed to other fruits too.

You’ve the makings of a range here :)

Podz – I did think of green when you mentioned watermelon but I’m not too keen on it so I don’t think so. I need to work on the banner though. See if I can sort of match it in.

Moshu – Thanks for checking. It’s nice to know.

dammracing – You can’t hate fish, you’re Canadian. That’s not allowed. I’ve got an Animal sweatshirt that started off as the main menu colour and has now faded to the highlight colour on the outside edge. It must be 15 years old and it’s dropping to bits but will I throw it away? Will I buggery.

Indranil – I don’t have IE5 to check with. If you could do a screen shot…. There is meant to be a 2px gap between the slabs.

Indranil – Thanks for the screen shot. I’ll look into that. Must be something peculiar to IE5 as it’s working fine in IE5.5 and IE6.

Matthew – Thanks for the link. I now have IE5.5 and IE5.1 installed. I shan’t bother with 3 and 4. If people are still using those they’ll have to live with it I think. Just need to find a hack that sorts the menu problem in IE5.1 now. It looks like it’s stuck a br between the menu slabs. It doesn’t look too bad though. I just know it shouldn’t look like that.

Lizz – ask your Dave to have a look with his Mac please. I’ve got no feedback from Mac users yet. I’ll consider doing a blue version with a style switcher just for you for the right price.

Joni – you should talk to Lizz and Lily. They’re always hungry which reminds me. I must pop down the bakers and get my BLT baguette.

Sorry Root. I’ve just been installing the style-switcher. You may have got a plain page with no CSS for a short while. Don’t you like pink then? You’ll have to wait a bit.
