Iran

I was sitting here browsing through my ShortStat stats, as you do when you’re bored and some of the information it gives is quite interesting. The stat that is really surprising is that, after the usual top 3 of the USA, UK and Canada the 4th country to send the most visitors to The Bomb Site is The Islamic Republic of Iran.

Now I have no objection to anyone anywhere in the world coming here but what is the attraction for Iranians exactly?? I think I should get the “poll” plugin and do a survey of why you think they are coming here. Do you think it’s my support for a free Palestine, do you think it’s The Bomb Site name or neither of the above?

I have Iran fairly high up in my visitor logs too (after USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Finland, Australia and Taiwan) - I reckon either there is a mistake in the country-to-ip matching, or 1 or 2 bloggers with links to non-Iranian blogs.

Yes, I did wonder cuz there doesn't appear to be a corresponding entry in the language list. I do have "Arabic/Saudi Arabia" in there but I know that appeared when I had visits from Saudi Arabia itself and the percentage has always remained constant. It could well be people who link here via a site based in Iran. Be nice to know for sure though.

Crap, I don't know whose, but one of the blogs you're linked to has a cool application in it that lists all the sites that people have used to get to your site in the last.... I think it's 30 days. I'm not exactly sure how long... But I don't know who has/had it... I think it was Organic shadow, but it's not on the site any more.... I'll keep looking

I have that facility but it doesn't tell you which country the site is in which is the point. I think you are probably talking about Delymyths plugin which is commonly used. It's the one I got rid of. I like the one I have.
