Election?

So we have riots in Greece? I cannot condone the loss of life but who the hell can blame them? The people of Greece are due to suffer because of a lack of judgement of their governments combined with the havoc reeked by a few people with nothing more than greed in their minds. The bankers still think they have the day. They continue to pay themselves outrageous and immorally high bonuses as though all was right in the world and they had done nothing wrong.

Apparently the Brown government considered bringing in more regulation to govern banks’ behaviour but the bankers didn’t like the idea so the government backed down. Obama seems to be following a very similar path.

I’ve just been watching a programme set in the time of Oliver Cromwell. He decided at one point to rid Westminster of it’s parliament because he considered that all the parliamentarians did was “tittle tattle” and look after their own interests. Does that sound familiar to you?

We have elections tomorrow. I wonder what it would be like if nobody voted.
