I’m about to upgrade to the latest revision which now includes a download facility based on Manfre’s plug-in which I am currently using. I shall need to switch that plug-in off, upgrade, then check all the existing link tags to ensure it all still works so you will not be able to download any style or application files for a while. Please be patient. I’ll edit this post as I go.

Edit 1

The initial upgrade is done and apart from some stats being broken in the menu the site seems OK. The stats are not important so I’ll look at those later. Now to sort out the download tags.

Edit 2

Well that went so well I feel sick and I’m giving up and going for a Chinky. I’ve posted to the TXP forum and await their reply. In the meantime I’ve re-started the original plug-in as the download side of it doesn’t rely on TXP so downloads are available again. I’ll fix the menu stats thing when I’ve eaten. Sod it!

Edit 3

Ok. Download facility working fine now. I’ve 1 page of tags to replace but I shall keep the plug-in running until I’ve finished which won’t be until Monday evening as it is now 7:25am and I’m going to bed! Bye.

Last Edit

All sorted as far as I can tell. Uploading and downloading are fine and categories are now picked up and creating new ones works too.

Well that’s over with. I was looking forward to having this in the TXP code but I also knew it was a potential trouble spot. It’s probably the biggest new thing in TXP 1.0RC3 so hopefully it should be pretty much plain sailing up to the public release of TXP 1.0. End of the month? Don’t care. I shall wait patiently. If you can’t get RC3 yet just hang on. It’s well worth the wait. Roll on the final release of the finest, cleanest, lightest CMS on the planet!!
