Done Tweaking?

I think it’s about done. Of course there are always little things that get tweaked but the main stuff is complete. The plugin I was waiting for has come on-line and you can now try out my Advanced Search in the menu. You might have noticed that one of my menus has disappeared. With the introduction of my drop-down horizontal menu I don’t require all the menu space I previously had so one column has gone. I prefer the extra content space anyway though I have made the remaining menu wider. With the removal of all the original menu options I have the space to introduce a recent comments list. All the blogs and other external links I had are now in My Link List. I still have descriptions to add for some of the blogs but that’s a work-in-progress.

The new navbar uses javascript so if you have it switched off then hard luck. The buttons will act as links for you and I have added the sitemap to the footer so you should be able to get around just fine but it would be a lot easier if you just switched javascripting back on.

I’ve brought the whole site within the scope of the style-switcher with the exception of the Forum and Guest Block which aren’t a part of TXP so now you won’t suddenly change styles when you move outside my Blog.

And a big thankyou to Jess for my new banner. Did you spot that little detail?

I get a problem with the right column in the Royal Lizz style, but everything else I’ve tried so far works smashingly. Nice job. :)

And a big you’re welcome for the banner. :D

Err. What’s the problem then Jess? Everything seems OK for me.

Weird. For me, the column line shifts over to the right – causing all of the content to spill over onto the other side a bit.

You should find this is a cache thing. Do a Ctrl F5. I think you are still picking up the narrower menu background gif from the original menu width. It’s been widened.

That must have been it, thanks. :D
