Choices

I notice that, since Jess has gone into “move house” mode and Lily has gone into “must get that paper finished” mode, the comment rate around here and elsewhere has taken a dramatic drop. I’m not sure what that might say about women and a sample of 2 isn’t significant anyway so I’ll say nothing.

It’s been a really warm week here. Monday and Tuesday up in the 80’s then the 70’s for the rest of the week. Today feels a little cooler with the breeze though it’s still a nice day. A little cloudy so a possibility of rain but the grass needs it and if it comes at night – so what?

So last week someone bought me a litre bottle of Stella. If you aren’t “in the know” that is just slightly over 3 regular bottles in one. It’s a BIG bottle. Now I like my Stella but I’m not what you would call a regular drinker so for me 2 normal bottles is fine. I might push 3 if I’m in company and enjoying myself. So before I even consider opening this bottle I’ve got to be in the mood for a drink and I generally don’t know that till I’ve finished the first 2 or I’ll have to wait till there’s someone to share it with. Choices, choices…...

Yes, Bandwidth levels have droped quite abit on your weBLOG. he he.....

Now, this Stella, what percentage does it have? Will that bottel "do you in," or do you still need at least, say.... 2 more? Does it compare to the Beer here in Canada?

I'm not a drinker, but fined that Beer is one of those universal things everyone seems to fixate upon: of Males anyway. I notice all the questions are mostly the same, so here is my small sample:

Is my Beer better than your's? Does this Beer have more then "that" Beer? Where was the, and what is the "best" Beer you had? etc....

Oh, I'm running into problems with the "# of users on-line" plug-in, I'll get back to you later on that.

I can't say how it compares to Canadian beer. Stella Artois is a Belgian lager with 5.2% alc. and a nice, sharp but light taste. It is what is known as "re-assuringly expensive". I'm OK with 2 bottles though I will go to 3 bottles if I'm in the mood.

The problem for us folk who only have 3 commenters is that when 2 of them go into purdah you get left feeling kind of lonely. Still at least we are still going. :cussing:

Believe me I'm missing online life! Glad to know my absence doesn't go unnoticed, haha. Will be back annoying, err commenting, as soon as possible. This library internet business is for the birds. :wall: Later!

Being a Dutch woman, living in Belgium, I thought I might throw in a comment. You're absolutely right about not saying anything about women. Whatever you would have said, it probably would have been wrong  Unless you would have come up with something very vague, like 'women are complicated' *grin*

As for the Stella, it sure as hell beats Heineken, but that's about it. Sorry to hear it's expensive over there. Don't want to imagine what the really good beers will cost

Then your comment on the 404, I sent you an e-mail about that. Don't want to pollute Root's blog any further. After all, I only surfed in via the Word Press forum.

I've suggested that women are "complicated" elsewhere and that's as far as I go. Wouldn't be without them though.

I'm afraid that Stella is a tad expensive here though you can get some good deals in the supermarkets if you shop around a bit. That said I was "given" a 24 bottle pack at Christmas. I still have about 8 left which tells you how often I drink not to mention my new 1 litre bottle. The only other lager I really like is Lowenbrau but it is quite rare over here. Other than those I stick with English beer or if I'm feeling totally MAD I'll go with cider or preferably scrumpy. :hithead:
