Celebrations

My son Kevin came visiting yesterday. Totally unexpected. I didn’t think I would see him till the weekend so I hadn’t sorted his card out which was a tad embarrassing as he’d brought my cards with him. Anyhow he’s coming again Friday so I have time to get things sorted. I also had a call from my mate Kevin last night to say he would be round with the missus tonight. So a question of getting out and about today buying cards and sorting presents for everyone. Kev’s just left and I am writing this under the influence of a couple of cans and a couple of bottles of Stella. Lovely stuff and having done an impromptu taste comparison I can tell you that the bottles are better than the cans. They are smaller though but they do say good things come in small packages which is, of course, what I tell all the girls.

Birthdays are all on the same day (the 6th I believe?) - there was a blog post about it a few days ago iirc.

Or something?? :roll: I think Lily may be a tad busy for the next week or so. Maybe when she's back in T&T :?: I've tried to match the dividers here to the ones on the main page. What do you think? It might be a bit too "busy" particularly if there are lots of small comments. I don't know. :think: All thoughts please.

Yes. I think if there is a problem it will be when there a lots of short, one line comments, a bit like this is getting, but time will tell. :think:

Have you thought about tiny dots instead of dashes? That might be less distracting. :idea:

I haven't really thought at all! :roll: I'll have to see if "dots" is an available option although I was trying to keep a match with the main page. Watch this space as they say. :!:

Oh you poor thing. You know, it's a good thing I know what you are talking about cuz your comment is a bit cryptic isn't it? Actually since I've done all the changes to the site design the problem is that the links are now in white text and the weblog link would be invisible being on a white background. In fact when it disappeared I was trying to think what on earth had happened to it. I suddenly realised and had to remove the link to get it back again. Just for you, me being a minion and all, I'll make "the bomb site" a link instead as it's a graphic. :notworthy:

No can do I'm afraid. It would alter all the titles on the site. It was OK just being a link before because it only changed colour when you hovered and the rest of the site wasn't affected, but once I changed the link colour itself it became the problem I've explained elsewhere. Now you do realise that changing your name like that means that your comment won't add to your already massive total don't you?

ah...but see, me changing my name every now and again shows you that i'm not about stats and just being on top in comments and just commenting non stop...no no no...i'm about me and displaying me :-P

Hmmm. But I'd have to "think" about that whereas my solution was a doddle. Isn't "being about you" and "commenting non-stop" the same thing?
